BLOG PART 2
DAY 2: Fogal: EATS – Bacon and Scrambled egg. POWER. We seem to eat lots. An early start and we listen to ‘A Fathers Son.’ Really happy with how this sounds and decide we have the take. We crack on by doing Guys punching guitar part, which is epic sounding stabs.

It's 9.39 still
Its 9.39 so the kitchen clock says. Mind you that clock has stopped so that will remain the time for two weeks.
Clock SOLO! The chimes on the clock in the control room are exactly in time with the beat so we wait till midday, mic up and get that take first time!
Guy should really get dressed and its still 9.39. Recording of ‘The Deep’ begins. Trying to figure out the end bit. No mush. Just energy. Feel this one will take a while as it’s a high concentration song with lot’s of different parts and one of my favorites from our new songs.

Listening back
Martin: Day one went a little too smoothly for my liking. Everything sounded pretty good right from the start. I feel this good fortune is likely to come back and bite us later on. Started day two with some feedback overdubs. Its always nice to start the day with a little feedback.
Fogal: Deep. Should we try one more take? Or fix it in the mix? More takes. Anyone seen the peeler? Doesn’t feel very clean. Dan is preparing a stew of mammoth proportions. So a mini round up of today. We have finished Fathers Son and pretty much by tea time finished rhythm parts of Deep. Should I have some Chocolate?

Pedals'n'Wires'n'Stuff
Bowis: Of course you should have chocolate. Stew and roast pots won’t be done for hours.

Guy Concentrating on Triplets
Fogal: We spent the night doing overdubs and adding guitar textures, as is the general way of the evenings. I discover a Harry Potter DVD boxset. Should I? I mean I haven’t watched any of them before. I think Alistair is convincing me to do it. I might do, not yet but later in the week.
