really enjoyable show from the band last night and thanks again for making my weekend... glad you could make it back in time and fit all the equipment on stage , though the customary guitar shakes weren't quite so much in evidence as usual. Setlist was pretty much the same as the tour support with Spencer P tacked onto the end.. sadly no encore which would have been nice as it would have cut the length of time i was absent without leave from the BSP set.

Guess who got a song dedication?

No, not me. Obviously. ;) (^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^)

Yeah. Sounding bloody excellent, "Sea Of Regrets" particularly massive. Ian's extra guitar bits throughout the set is ace though, just.... bigger.

I am quite seriously fucked. No civilised human being should ever have to scrape ice off a tent in order to go to bed. Unless they like that sort of thing, clearly. In which case they're mental.

Cheers for the epic journey chaps, your presence was appreciated; one lad near me who'd not seen ILT since the last Tan Hill was really impressed with all the new stuff.

I have photos. Some of them involve ILT. Will try and get them up tomorrow, a beautiful end to the weekend with BSP at a church in Leeds tonight but should probably go to bed when I get in...

Mmmm, bed. MY bed. Not outside. Good...

(Added Monday morning)...
I feel very slightly more alive today. Just realised Sunday was also the occasion whereby ILT moved into my major league - my 32nd ILT gig puts them joint seventh in my all time chart of bands I have seen the most, joint that is with the almighty and still sorely missed (by me, at least!) Forward Russia who of course won't be accumulating any more, and three more gigs will level them with the Chameleons (ditto)... unlikely to ever pass British Sea Power though with whom I reached a large and ridiculous milestone sometime last week and I still love them :)

must add that junior ethyl thought that the boys were really great.. to quote..." BSP just make music now for people who want to dance around and don't care about lyrics but ILT are just intense"... I suspect he has been brainwashed by his mother or else hypnotised by Dave's manic eyes.

good luck with tonight's show.. don't know how you keep going ( or you Cath) as even after 11 hours of kip yesterday I still don't appear to have the power of coherent speech or the use of my right knee.

The 8.30pm time slot for tonight's show at 93FE is the only common sense I have, in that I have half thought about going but now know it would be impossible for me to guarantee getting there on time. I'm actually quite glad of this as I need a decent full night's sleep before tackling the M6 again tomorrow for 65s in Birmingham (which can't be considered insanity in itself as they're not playing Manchester this tour and it's the easiest one for me to get to)..........

I did contemplate it as there is also some exhibition on at the British Museum that I want to see but junior's French oral was cancelled last week and moved to this, so I am currently trying to turn his dull northern tones into something vaguely resembling French..

He will be playing with us when ever it is humanly possible. We're loving having him around and he is enjoying playing with us I think!
