I just caught this on the pledge page:
CD and vinyl delivery TBC subject to manufacturing lead time. Likely to be October 2010. Other items will be shipped within 2 weeks of campaign ending.

Looks like an album release in October, but if it is true that other items are shipped 2 weeks after campaign ending, this means that we could be listening to the new album 6 weeks from now!

Got a AAA thanks to my Dad and my upcoming birthday (thanks!)

Also the Vinyl boxset which looks like it'll be rather lovely - 100 people better get involved or I'll be very dissapointed!

Great idea guys, cannot wait for it to bear fruit.

Ok...finally decided on the acoustic Skype concert. I've been dying for some acoustic versions of iLT classics ever since the guys recorded an acoustic in studio gig that we never actually got to hear. Maybe with Simon having a broken leg, he'll have some time to find that CD ;)

I think I may pledge some more within the month, but finances are a bit tight right now. I definitely want to see them meet the goals.

This could be good news for ILT and bad news for my credit card, as I will probably have decided I desperately need all sorts of other stuff by then :)

Hi Cath,

Your order seems to have gone through now!

Cheers.

Cheers Dave, it worked on the third attempt - hopefully Simon's right and the site was just overwhelmed with traffic before!

And I put a piece up on our website about it:
http://www.music-dash.co.uk/news/news.asp?item=2699

Then I got my car insurance quote. Put it this way, I will not be withdrawing my pledge to buy the album but it could be the last album I buy in a long time, and I can forget about the box set. Or indeed having any sort of life for the foreseeable future...

I felt the same last week when the estimate came to re-plaster my back stairs but then the kind people at the WTC office sent me a bonus for last year's underpayment - there is a god sometimes

Great idea, gents - fantastic range of options.
Lyric book and screen-printed poster both appeal hugely.

I reckon a smaller-scale vinyl set would have done great business - maybe a new album/rarities pairing? I'd have to add myself to the list of folks who'd like to buy the boxset but can't afford it at the moment.

The only item I'd say was overpriced was the 'credit on the CD'. James Yorkson did a pre-order for his last album, double CD+DVD+credit on sleeve. I seem to recall it was about 20 quid?

Perhaps the lean meat can sell euphemisms to help the cause?

The vinyl box does seem a bit pricey, but you are getting the whole back catalogue, which is nice. I would also hope that at this price it's in 180g vinyl or better. I'm also thinking that they won't produce as many sets as a normal run, which reduces the bulk rate that they might otherwise get for the pressing. I'm hoping to come up with the cash to get the set before the end of the month. I really think I need to have PR on vinyl. It would save me a lot of flipping that I have to do with the 7" singles.

sadly EU working regulations mean that I cannot devote myself enough to the task to generate cash for the cause- I am willing to sell Mr Meat and junior to the highest bidder( or any bidder come to that) if it helps.

I think the prospective boxed set is quite reasonable to be honest given it is undoubtedly going to be a limited pressing.. I think it is a case of a set price always feeling dearer than the bid on e-bay, even when the latter are usually over the odds and faintly ridiculous... or maybe that is just me?

And now I have a better car insurance quote. It's still absolutely ridiculous, but it's more than £100 less than the previous one - can you see how my mind's working?
